Biography

Hissa Igarashi was born in Hokkaido, Japan and grew up in Tokyo.

He studied fashion design, styling, makeup, photography and show organization at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo which is known as the school Yohji Yamamoto attended. As soon as graduating from Bunka, Hissa started to organize several fashion shows and events while he worked as a stylist assistant for magazines and celebrities in Japan. These early experiences in Tokyo helped him quickly learn about the fashion world as a stylist.

In 2003 Hissa moved to New York and started assisting top stylists like Joe McKenna and Michael Philouze on shoots for Italian, french, Japan, L'Uomo Vogue, V MAGAZINE, i-D, L'Officiel and various advertising campaigns—developing comprehensive knowledge and skills in photo shoots.

Hissa has been styling on his own since 2007 and is currently based in New York and Tokyo.
